Team USA Named for the 2026 Britain's Cup
Twelve of the best FlingGolf players in America will cross the Atlantic this August to defend American honor in the sport's premier international competition — the Britain's Cup.
About the Britain's Cup
The Britain's Cup is FlingGolf's flagship international team competition — a Ryder Cup-style match-play showdown pitting the top players from Team USA against the best of Team Europe. Now entering its third year, the tournament has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated events on the FlingGolf calendar, showcasing the game's elite talent and its remarkable growth on both sides of the Atlantic.

Created by Paul Barran and FlingGolf UK in collaboration with World League FlingGolf, the Britain's Cup debuted in 2024 as a USA vs. UK contest held in Bournemouth. That inaugural event drew immediate excitement, and in 2025 the field grew to include European players, formally creating Team Europe. For 2026, the competition moves to London for the first time — specifically to Stockley Park Golf Club in Uxbridge — signaling just how far the event has come in just three years.
Team USA enters as the defending champion, having claimed dominant victories in both prior editions. But Team Europe has been closing the gap with each passing year, and the 2026 edition — with rosters expanded to 12 players on each side and a full three-day competition schedule — promises to be the most competitive Britain's Cup yet.
The match-play format includes Fourball and Foursomes pairings (featuring co-ed matches) along with individual singles play, spread across the full three days of competition. It's a stage built for intensity, national pride, and the kind of memorable moments that only team competition can produce.
How Team USA Was Assembled
Earning a spot on Team USA is no small achievement. The 12-player roster is drawn from all three WLF divisions — Men's, Women's, and Masters (55+) — and filled through a transparent, merit-based process that rewards consistent excellence throughout the competitive season.

Sam "Scantron" Scannell is one of the most decorated players in WLF history, boasting 9 Men's championships and the top ranking in the Men's division at the close of the 2025 season. A true student of the game from Glastonbury, Connecticut, Scannell is known for his pinpoint accuracy and his ability to perform in pressure situations — qualities that have made him a cornerstone of Team USA at every Britain's Cup. He and Austin Ebersole are one of the most feared doubles pairings in FlingGolf history, having won four Doubles Championships together.

Austin "Showtime" Ebersole needs no introduction. The current #1 Ranked Men's player and the only player to ever hold the WLF's #1 Men's ranking at the end of back-to-back seasons, Ebersole has won 10 Men's Championships and has been one of the defining figures of the WLF since its founding. Newport, Pennsylvania's most famous FlingGolfer, Ebersole combines elite power with signature flair — earning his nickname from fans who recognize that when he is on, there is nobody more entertaining to watch on the course. He is the face of the "Showtime" brand and a captain's captain for Team USA.

"Par-T"
Titus "Par-T" Harter from Joplin, Missouri is one of the great stories of the WLF. After winning Top Newcomer at his first-ever tournament in Colorado, Titus quickly became one of the most consistent top-four finishers in the Men's division, recording 4 top-four finishes in 2025 alone. His ascent to the WLF's automatic qualification threshold is a testament to relentless improvement. Paired with his brother Obediah, the "Harter Brothers" from Missouri have become one of the most exciting storylines in all of competitive FlingGolf.

"Backflip Birdie"
If Titus is the methodical force of the Harter brothers, Obediah "Backflip Birdie" is the crowd-pleasing dynamo. Named the 2025 SDO Champion and a multiple-time top-five finisher, Obie brings explosive athleticism and a flair for the dramatic — which earned him his legendary nickname. A veteran of the Britain's Cup having attended as a supporter in 2024 before earning a roster spot in 2025, Obediah knows exactly what it means to play for Team USA. He and Titus are expected to be a formidable doubles pairing at Stockley Park.

"Hootman"
Jacob "Hootman" Hooter brings the Texas toughness and five top-five finishes on the WLF Tour to the Britain's Cup, including a dominant win at the 2026 Lowcountry Open. Based in Waco, Texas, Hooter has been a fixture in the upper echelons of the Men's rankings for multiple seasons, leveraging his competitive experience to consistently deliver in high-pressure moments. The Hootman is a respected veteran on Team USA, and his combination of experience and skill makes him one of the team's most reliable performers on the match-play stage.

The first women's player in WLF history and still one of its most dominant, Britt "The Queen" Hammond from Duncannon, Pennsylvania is a living legend of competitive FlingGolf. With 8 WLF Women's Championship titles, Hammond has defined excellence in the Women's division since day one. A fierce competitor whose nickname was earned the hard way — by winning — Hammond brings both unmatched experience and an unbreakable will to Team USA's lineup. She has been a cornerstone of the Britain's Cup effort in every edition of the tournament.

"Hardcore"
Jeff "Hardcore" Harvey of Clarksburg, West Virginia is the top-ranked Masters player in the WLF, a distinction he earned with one of the most remarkable seasons in the division's history. A 7-time Masters Champion, Harvey capped his 2025 run by winning the River City Open — cementing his status as the automatic qualifier for the Masters spot on Team USA. Don't let the division label fool you: Harvey is one of the most complete and dangerous players in the entire WLF field, a competitor who relishes the team format and brings a veteran's composure to every match.
