Friday, July 15 started out a chilly 40 degrees Fahrenheit on New Zealand's North Island, but that didn't stop David Blake, the leader of FlingGolf New Zealand from taking the first flings of New Swarm's Global FlingGolf Friday at Hagley Park Golf Course in ChristChurch. The full day, worldwide event followed the sun around the big blue marble, through Australia, Hungary, Italy, and Canada and ending in the US on the warm and sunny island of Kauai in Hawai'i with Brian Martin playing Kukuiolono Golf Course.
There were veteran FlingGolfers as well as first-timers playing the sport. There were kids, seniors, families, even FlingGolf clinics, demos and corporate outings taking place throughout the day, playing in this World League FlingGolf event. Everyone was encouraged to post their round to social media tagging #gff22 and #globalflinggolffriday.
It was a testament to the growing community of FlingGolf Players around the world that we covered it from end to end and played in nearly every US state.
Here are some fun pics from the day:
Thanks everyone for participating in the first annual Global FlingGolf Friday! We made it all the way around the world!
