New Swarm was once again happy to bring FlingGolf to the NEGCOA Annual Golf outing, this time at Candia Woods Golf Links in Candia, New Hampshire. The outing took place on Wednesday October 13 and brought in course owners from across the region.
The outing marks the 6th time that FlingGolf has participated with NEGCOA in it's outing, in addition to our multiple outings with golf course owners across the country through the National Golf Course Owners Association.
Steve Bloom, New Swarm's Vice President said, "We have always been grateful for the support that the NEGCOA has given us throughout the years we've developed this sport, and in particular Elaine Gebhardt's support as the Director of our home based New England Chapter. We have known from the start that golf course owners are the gatekeepers and we have been thrilled at their overall acceptance of a new sport on their courses that bring them families, friends and new faces."
During the outing, each foursome was able to try their hand at FlingGolf, picking their choice of one of New Swarm's FlingSticks and going for a closest to the pin on the 17th hole. Many of the owners have gotten very proficient over the years, having implemented a program at their own courses. Thus, the winner ended up a mere 4 feet from the pin.
Partly as a result of our long time relationship with NGCOA, and how that has led to owners full understanding of the seamless nature of the sport with traditional golf, FlingGolf has now been played on at least 1200 golf courses in 29 Countries.
