The largest national FlingGolf tournament to date took place at American Classic Golf Club in Lewes, DE on May 21st and 22nd. A segment on the tournament was televised by ESPN in August 2022.
The tournament consisted of two separate events drawing the top FlingGolf players from across the US:
The NSF Open featured those players with the overall FlingGolf skill set necessary to score as low as possible in golf-course play, rewarding those players that have mastered the long game, approach shots and on-the-green techniques.
The Longest FlingShot Championship featured players, through brute strength and technique, aiming to best each other with the longest possible flingshot.
The winner of the 2022 New Swarm Open is Ken Pytluk from Fort Collins, CO who won the 4-hole playoff by 2 strokes.
The winner of the Longest Flingshot Championship (LFC-2) was Brooks Medford from Spindale, NC who won with a long FlingShot of 220 yards.
In the winner take all 4-hole final playoff, Kenzo stormed out of the gate with Reggie Pars on the first two holes. Big Cat and Lucky Jack kept the pressure with some clutch shots and narrowed the lead on the third hole. On the final hole, all four of Kenzo's challengers Reggie'd the hole to add to the pressure, but Kenzo answered with a Reggie of his own to cement his title win.

"We do golf a little differently than your average golf course…. We have 9 holes instead of 18. We name our sandwiches after rock n’ roll kings. We enjoy wearing “LOUD” clothes… AND we like to deck out our golf carts in American flags. The course is both fun and challenging; we have water, sand and an island green on hole 6."
