World League FlingGolf Doubles New Swarm Tour Stops for 2025

Amesbury, MA - March 18, 2025.  FlingGolf's premier league has released its expanded tour schedule to include stops across the US starting in March in North Carolina and ending in San Diego in November.

In an effort to accommodate demand from WLF pros, top players, emerging players and a growing fan base, World League FlingGolf's 2025 schedule includes 10 stops in 9 states.  All of last year's tournaments will return, while others that were either more regional in nature or are new this year, have been added to the tour.

Additions include the first stop on the tour at the North Carolina Open, the Potomac Highlands Doubles in West Virginia, the River City Open in Richmond, Virginia, the Empire State Open in Troy, New York and the Midwest Open in Joplin, Missouri.  Each of these additional tournaments has been nominated by a local WLF player host by meeting standards laid out by the league, including addressing increased player demand in their region.

While the Tour will see WLF's top ranked players return to compete and aim to improve their standing, each tournament welcomes players of any level or division to participate in order to satiate the growing player demand in each of the regions picked.

World League FlingGolf Commissioner John Pruellage feels the expansion from 5 to 10 tour stops will help address avid players who have been eyeing competitive play, but haven't made the commitment to travel longer distances to a WLF stop.  "During the off season, we really looked into where the greatest demand was and then coordinated that information with player hosts who could help with the boots on the ground efforts to pull off a top WLF tournament worthy of the New Swarm Tour.  I am thrilled about these 10 stops and their potential to introduce competitive play to local players and fans, while also delivering on the quality courses and tournaments that top players have come to expect."

New Swarm, the equipment brand responsible for the sport and FlingStick, returns as the Tour's leading sponsor.  The brand's CEO and founder, Alex Van Alen sees the Tour's expansion as both fulfilling a need and creating new opportunities for the community to grow. "It became clear very early in last year's season that demand for competitive play had grown significantly, and as the season went on we heard from players of every level in our community hoping for a stop nearer them.  We coordinated with the league on regions of high demand and these tour stops will go a long way to meet those calls for competitive play."

Van Alen continued, "Beyond that, the awareness that these tournaments generate for the sport and our brand is invaluable.  Fans will not only be able to engage with the sport in their own backyards, but will also find them on TV on many Regional Sports Networks throughout the US, and very likely a new segment on ESPN, now that the league and tour have developed those media rights."

Registration is live for the North Carolina Open and the Treasure Coast Open, with the TCO being filmed for distribution on Regional Sports Networks across the US.  This season, World League FlingGolf has engaged Golf Genius as its registration portal.  Players are required to create an account and profile first, and once completed that will take them to the registration form for each tournament that is open.
