World League FlingGolf San Diego Open picked up by US Regional TV Sports Networks

October 31, 2024. Amesbury, MA. In a first for the emerging alt-golf-sport, viewers in select cities will be able to tune in to capture top level FlingGolf action on their hometown sports networks.

The World League FlingGolf's San Diego Open, the final stop on the 2024 New Swarm Tour, was played at JC Golf's Fountains Course in September and captured on video.  Now, both the Women's and Men's Championships are going to be broadcast on regional TV stations across the US over the next several months, with the Premieres set to air on MASN (DC and Baltimore) at 4 and 430 PM ET on Sunday, November 3.

Each of the two 30 minute segments will show the concluding holes of the 27 hole tournament played in searing 104 degree temperatures at the Welk Resort in the hills of Escondido.

World League FlingGolf's Commissioner John Pruellage discussed the significance of this opportunity.  "In concluding our 3rd year of the tour, and having seen success with three national airings on ESPN, we are excited to continue our work with multiple TV outlets to showcase the league's best players and thereby bring more awareness to the sport.  Reaching new viewers in these select regions will make a lasting impact on the popularity of our league."

The league worked with Harry Cicma on the filming and distribution deal, with the Emmy Award winning Network TV Anchor and Producer and Pruellage calling the action for both tournaments, which will be seen by millions of viewers.  

New Swarm's CEO, Alex Van Alen detailed how this will not only showcase the sport, but will also highlight the league's sponsors and New Swarm's FlingStick. "This is an opportunity to thank our sponsors for their support during the year.  It is these companies that help make the tour possible, so to be able to include their 30 second ads in our programming for millions of people to see is a great way for us to say thanks."  Viewers will see ads from New Swarm, OnCore Golf, Ice Shaker and Fore Craft Cocktails.

World League FlingGolf's 2024 San Diego Open has been picked up by these Regional Sports Networks for multiple broadcasts this fall. 

Airings will occur on on at least the following networks, often with re-airs:

CBS Miami

CBS Boston 

MASN

Fox TV Las Vegas (Silver State Sports Network)

ROOT Sports

Space City Network 

NLSE TV

Right Now Network

BeIN TV

These networks will show both the Women's and Men's Division Championships, with the Premiere airing on MASN on Sunday, November 3 at 4 PM. 

The episodes will be available for viewing on FlingGolf's YouTube Channel shortly following the Premiere.
