ESPN to Co-air World League FlingGolf and Savannah Bananas across its Channels in August

July 20, 2026 - Bristol, CT.  The Worldwide Leader in Sports has unveiled its airing schedule for the entertaining golf-course-sport's premier league and is coupling it with the popular baseball team to drive maximum viewership across its channels.

World League FlingGolf's Low Country Open will appear on ESPN2's coveted slot at 8 PM (ET) on Saturday, August 8. This will mark the 5th consecutive year that ESPN has picked up the rights to a WLF tournament in the professional New Swarm Tour. 

In a twist from previous years, WLF will be aired concurrently with the Savannah Bananas who will also appear at 8 PM, on ESPN's original channel.

Between the two concurrent events, ESPN expects to have millions of viewers tune in.  It appears to be a strategy to maximize viewership and to help the baseball team reach a more international audience.  To date, the Bananas have played in only 2 countries: the USA and Canada, while FlingGolf has been played on golf courses in over 40 countries.

It is the story of using a global sport to bring wider attention to an innovative entertainment product. It is no coincidence that ESPN has picked these 2 sports assets to fill the sought after 8/8/8 (8PM on August 8) slot for their highly anticipated Ocho programming.

With WLF action starting right at 8 and ending at 830, the expectation is that FlingGolf viewers will eventually turn over to the Bananas following the conclusion of the Low Country Open.  There is a significant spike expected on ESPN at that 830 slot, and the Bananas will still be in the early stages of their game against the Coconuts.

Anticipation is high for the broadcast of this "double header" with different sports both competing and supporting each other. 

Tune in to World League FlingGolf Action on ESPN2 at 8PM (ET) on August 8 (8/8/8). Then switch on over to the Bananas on ESPN and support their growth.
