The 2024 Treasure Coast Open Virginia FlingGolf Open will be held on April 13th and April 14th at Jensen Beach Golf Club outside of Port St. Lucie, FL. Additional activities will take place at the RPS Academy at Wyndham Sandpiper Resort. The primary individual tournament will be held on Saturday the 13th and the Doubles Tournament will be held on Sunday the 14th. Click here for directions.

When you purchase a registration and receive the confirmation email and link to the registration form, you will select your Division from the 3 choices (Men's, Women's or Masters) when you get to the question within the registration form.

The Masters Division is for any man or woman that is 55 years or older. For 2024, you will be considered 55 if you turn 55 years old at any point in 2024.

Yes. The Doubles Tournament will have 2 divisions: Men's and Women's/Co-ed. The Men's division will include all doubles teams with two men, including Masters, who will use the Masters tees when teeing off. The Women's/Co-Ed division will include all doubles teams that have one women player.

Based on course logistics, both the Individual and Doubles Tournaments will be limited to 72 participants.

Schedule details are still being finalized, but the Individual Tournament begins on Saturday, April 13th at 8:30am. We anticipate that the 18-hole preliminary round will finish around 1:00pm, with the 9-hole finals beginning by 2:00pm. The Doubles Tournament will begin on Sunday, April 14th at 8:30am with the finals to follow at around 1:30pm. NOTE: On Saturday and Sunday don't plan to arrive before 7:00am. The golf course is in a gated community and the gate is unattended before 7:00am

The tournament will begin early on Saturday so if you are coming from out of town, you will need to arrive by Friday. We encourage participants to arrive early and play a practice round at Jensen Beach (20% discount if you tell them you're there for the tournament). Also, there will activities on Friday evening (skills competition, including Juniors), with details to be announced.

Absolutely. Family and friends are welcome to attend and cheer on the participants. If you have kids coming that are FlingGolfers, consider entering them in the skills competition on Friday evening. Details will be announced closer to the tournament. Also, for those families that are interested take a look at the package being offered by Sandpiper Bay Resort, the all-inclusive resort where Friday night's activities will be held. It may be cheaper to ship your FlingsStick to where you are staying rather than checking it on an airplane. Check with wherever you are staying about their shipping policy.

There will not be organized practice rounds, but you can schedule tee times at Jensen Beach Golf Club (tel: (772) 692-3322). They will provide you with a 20% discount on greens fees if you tell them you are there for the tournament.

There will be more information on the cash prizes leading up to the tournament since the total purse is based on registrations. Most of the cash prizes will be for the Individual Tournament, where we anticipate there being payouts for finalists across all 3 divisions. There will also be trophies, medals and other awards for both competitions, including the coveted "Fling Bling" for the winners of the Doubles Tournament.

There will also be additional awards, including an award for Top Newcomer and Top Military.

The tournament will follow the World League FlingGolf (WLF) Official Tournament Rules, including the Event Format and Associated Rules. PLEASE NOTE: the rules may be modified or updated up until the beginning of Tournament play. In addition to posting on this page, we will send out any updated rules to registered players as soon as they are made.

The FlingGolf Club Competition is a season-long competition featuring groups of 6 FlingGolfers that are "virtually" playing against each other. It is an "overlay" competition, so you do NOT need to be part of a Club to participate in either the Individual or Doubles Tournament. The Club Competition uses the results of the Individual and Doubles Tournaments to create a "Club Score" for each Club. Since Clubs may not have their full complement of players at the Tournament, leading up to the Tournament we will have a process to let players that are not affiliated with a Club ("free agents"), fill in for a Club for that weekend. If you are a "free agent" and are willing to fill in, there will be an opportunity to indicate this on the registration survey.

While, as a general rule the men will play from a mix of the white & green tees, the masters will play from a mix of the green and red tees and women will play primarily from the red tees, the tees and yardages will be modified by WLF to optimize play for FlingGolf. We will be using specific WLF tee markers to mark the tee locations for men (Blue), women (Yellow) and Master (Red).

Yes. Golf carts are included with the registration fee for both days of competition.

Definitely Not. This is meant to be a fun and competitive event for the whole community and we encourage all FlingGolfers to participate. We will pair you with another FlingGolfer for the Doubles tournament. Please Note - if you are open to being a fill-in for the Club Competition (see above) it will be easier to find you a partner for the Doubles Tournament.

Only New Swarm/FlingGolf FlingSticks may be used, without custom modifications other than the use of a Putting Slug or customized grips.

This will be a "pure" FlingGolf event so only one FlingStick may be used.

You may use any regulation golf ball for the tournament events.

Collared shirts are not required and you may wear shorts and other casual wear. However, we do ask that you dress in a neat and presentable manner.

We anticipate that there will be some filming, although it is likely that it will be used more for promotional or documentary use, including on streaming platforms, rather than a specific televised segment.
