FlingGolf and Wenham Country Club raise nearly $1200 for local sports team

The early clouds cleared and it became a fantastic day to introduce 40 new players to the FlingGolf Experience at the Wenham Country Club in Wenham, Massachusetts.  Players arrived from Ipswich and surrounding towns for a 30 minute clinic on the swing and short game basics and then went out to play 9 holes.  Kids who had never been to a golf course before picked up the game quickly, even recording several pars just using the single FlingStick and a golf ball that they were provided by New Swarm Sports, the sponsor of the event.

Through ticket sales, the FlingGolf team raised $1185.00 to benefit Ipswich Youth Lacrosse.  

Wenham Country Club owner, Norm Tarr, and Head Pro Ryan McDonald provided several tee times for the event.  The contestants all stayed late to take additional flingshots off the 4th tee, practice their short game with Chippo, and to enjoy pizza and refreshments as the sun went low on the horizon.

As an early adopter, Wenham CC has become the go-to place for FlingGolf on Boston's North Shore.   They welcome FlingGolf players, whether or not they are playing alongside traditional golfers.
